Value-driven work
I see acceptance and equality as a necessary component to therapy. I strive to be LGBTQIA+ affirming, body accepting, sex positive, anti-racist, and culturally competent in my personal life and professional work.
Human-First Therapeutic Approach
I show up in sessions as a fellow human being who will help you hold space to explore your experiences and personal goals. I view therapy as a healthy support for anyone in different phases of life and approach therapy in a normalizing and non-pathologizing way.
Supportive, Relational, & Explorative
I view a safe therapeutic relationship as vital in the process. In session, I show up authentically and compassionately. My focus is to create a space that is as comfortable as possible for you to tap into your vulnerability, explore your experiences, and connect to your true values and goals.

My Specialties
-
I have an eclectic approach that draws mostly from trauma-informed approaches, narrative therapy, somatic and mindfulness approaches, and parts work. I value holding space for you and helping you to explore how the different parts of your story impact your experience- and then help you create a life that connects to your true values and goals. My style is normalizing, compassionate, and rooted in the notion that we are all fully and inherently worthy as we are.

Attachment trauma (also known as complex or developmental trauma) is at the heart of what I do. This type of trauma isn’t always as obvious as the “big-T” event trauma that we see in PTSD. Attachment trauma typically occurs in early caregiver or significant relationships and can come in the forms of chronic invalidation, emotional dismissal, or conditional affection. In adulthood, this may play out as anxiety and perfectionism, low self-worth, feeling disconnected from one’s own feelings and goals, or difficulty feeling authentic in relationships. Together we can explore your attachment experiences, implement supportive boundaries, and connect to what is truly important to you.

While I have always had an interest in supporting those in family related transitions, my passion for perinatal mental health comes from my own experiences. I have personally experienced infertility, a difficult pregnancy, and a complicated postpartum phase. I know what it is like to go through fertility treatment (IUI and IVF), a high-risk pregnancy after infertility, breastfeeding issues (including tongue tie and exclusive pumping), and a “colicy” newborn phase. Needless to say, perinatal mental health has been a big focus in my own life. Whether you’re going through a rocky road that others in your life don’t seem to understand or you would just like support for this big transition in your life, I’m here to help you hold space for it all.

If anything above resonated with you, then we may be a good fit in working together! I work with many folks who are highly sensitive humans, work in creative or healing fields, as well as those who often feel limited by societal norms/expectations. Many of my clients felt that in their upbringing they fit the role of the “helper”, “perfect child”, or “independent child” growing up- and have a desire to step outside of those roles in adulthood.
Holding space for healing and growth
